Rockland Audubon Society

Chapter of the National Audubon Society

Rockland Audubon Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the appreciation of nature and the preservation of a healthy environment.

As part of that commitment, we acknowledge the land on which our work takes place.

Land Acknowledgement

Rockland Audubon Society acknowledges that we live on the traditional territories of the Ramapo Munsee Lenape people. We pay our respects to their past and present, and to the Indigenous peoples who may be here today.

We honor these Indigenous peoples who have had deep connections to the environment and who have stewarded this land for generations. Rockland Audubon Society is committed to continuing to learn and to striving to be better stewards of the land we now inhabit.

We gratefully recognize this history.
