Rockland Audubon Society is a chapter of the National Audubon Society.
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation of nature and the preservation of a healthy environment.
As part of that commitment, we acknowledge the land on which our work takes place.
Land Acknowledgement
Rockland Audubon Society acknowledges that we live on the traditional territories of the Ramapo Munsee Lenape people, and we pay our respects to their past and present, and to the Indigenous peoples who may be here today.
We honor these Indigenous peoples who have had deep connections to the environment and who have stewarded the land for generations. Rockland Audubon Society is dedicated to continue striving to be better stewards of this land we now inhabit as well.
We thankfully recognize our history.
